The future of communication will be created with SHIBUYA as the starting point. A new town will be created by various ideas. The present and future of the various people who gather in the town of Shibuya are embodied by four illustrators. Each of the various forms of communication depicted in the illustrations will add color to the entire town, making the seemingly inorganic and colorless town more colorful. This is the very mission of the mixi Group, which is rooted in the city of Shibuya and is changing the world in vivid ways through communication, and it expresses the relationship between the rapidly developing city of Shibuya and communication.

We value and embrace the individuality of our employees, even if they have different cultures and ways of thinking, and sublimate them for the greater good. The mixi Group’s unique people (employees and stakeholders) are represented by characters that are full of fun. In a virtual space that seems to spread out behind the LEDs, the diverse characters coexist without discomfort and actively communicate with each other, creating a sense of unity and harmony even among those who differ from the mixi Group’s culture and way of thinking. The characters are symbolic of the mixi Group’s corporate stance of valuing individuality and embracing it, even when colleagues have different cultures and ways of thinking.

One who is the first to think of, launch, and spread new things. They create new trends with various people by gaining insight into the changing environment and times. First Move uses various particles and motions to represent the rapidly changing times. When visitors to the office stand in front of the images, the flow is interactively changed. It means that this place is a new meeting place, and that new trends are born by connecting and communicating with each other here.

The time signal is played every 30 minutes with images of Shibuya, giving the audience a sense of sharing the same time and the beginning of new things to come. Every 30 minutes, a time signal is played along with images of Shibusawa to remind us that we are sharing the same time and that something new is about to begin. Different images will be shown in the morning (10:00-11:30), noon (12:00-15:30), evening (16:00-18:00), and night (18:30-20:00), depending on the time of day.
