2025年度のNHK大河ドラマ「べらぼう〜蔦重栄華乃夢噺〜」のタイトルバックを制作しました。蔦屋重三郎の人生を描く作品のタイトルバックということで、彼に関連した黄表紙や浮世絵をコラージュしてインパクトを持たせました。コラージュ部分は、実際の着物を撮影したり、本物の黄表紙や浮世絵を加工しています。今回の全体テーマは「渦」。蔦重のウズウズ、江戸で暮らす人たちの疼き、蔦重がみんなを巻き込んでいくエネルギーの渦などを表現しています。また、作品が進むにつれて蔦重の年齢や取り巻く環境も変わるため、第1章から3章に合わせてタイトルバックも少しずつ変化させています。3つのタイトルバックの違いとその意味を考えさせられる仕上がりとなっています。

We created the title sequence for the 2025 NHK historical drama “Berabou (UNBOUND)”. As the series portrays the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo, we designed the title sequence to leave a strong visual impact by collaging kibyoshi (illustrated books) and ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) associated with him. The collage elements were crafted using photographs of actual kimono fabrics and processed images of authentic kibyoshi and ukiyo-e prints. The overarching motif is “whirl”. It embodies Tsutaya’s restless creative energy, the stirrings of the people living in Edo, and the powerful vortex of energy that draws everyone into his orbit. As the story unfolds, Tsutaya’s age and surroundings change, so the title sequence also evolves across Chapters 1 through 3. Each of the three versions carries its own nuances, inviting viewers to reflect on their differences and meanings.
